Artists who influence my digi-pack design ideas

Rob Sheridan
Graphic designer and photographer best known for his minimalist CD cover artwork for Nine Inch Nails and How to Destroy Angels. Sheridan often uses minimal design and only one or two colours for each album. I like the idea of a simplistic colour scheme, which also features in albums by other artists. (Invaders must die-Prodigy, American Idiot-Green day)

Dave Mckean
English Artist and filmmaker best known for his work in comic books. Also creates lots of CD covers. Mckean incorporates a mixture of art forms (mostly painting, drawing, photography and digital art) in order to create his bizarre, dark, dreamlike, surrealist artwork. Most of his album covers are for Industrial, doom metal and avant-garde artists.

I like the way that Mckean usually features distorted versions of human faces in of his work, including CD covers, stand alone pieces or comic book art

Aphex Twin. (Often uses artwork by either himself or Chris Cunningham)
Screen shot from Chris Cunningham's video for Come to Daddy
Musician who works with many artists and often does album art himself. Aphex Twin likes to use pictures of himself grinning in what can only be described as an evil smile and often distorts his face. Frequent collaborator Chris Cunningham also uses this style for the artwork for Aphex Twin's singles Windowlicker and Come to Daddy.
